Frames
Reading sheets made by other packers? In TexturePacker-style JSON, a frame marked rotated: true stores its pixels turned 90° in the sheet, and frame.w/h are the frame's logical (unrotated) size — the footprint on the sheet is h×w. This cutter slices the bitmap as-is; if you re-pack rotated frames with our Maker, keep rotation off to preserve the original orientation, or check the exported data after packing.
Grid or auto-detect?
Use the grid when the sheet was built on uniform cells — character walk cycles, tilesets, RPG Maker sheets. Tell it the rows and columns (plus margin/spacing if the sheet has them) and every cell becomes a frame, including empty ones, so frame numbering stays predictable.
Use auto-detect when frames are separated by fully transparent rows and columns, whatever their sizes. Rows and columns of art are found from the alpha channel, and each intersection that contains pixels becomes a frame. It cannot separate frames that touch each other — for those, re-export from the source with padding.
